For participants and attendees:
We are happy to inform you that we have reached an agreement with an excellent 4-star hotel located at the very heart of Barcelona (Hotel H10 Universitat). We highly recommend you to stay in Barcelona, since the conference dinner (on Thursday night) will be in the city, in the restaurant El Gat Blau (member of the SlowFood Km0 network).
From the Hotel H10 Universitat, you just need to walk 100 m. until the train entrance, with the sign FGC (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya). See the map. Once at the station (called Catalunya), you can take any departing train with the name S2 (green line, direction Sabadell) or S55 (blue line, direction Universitat Autònoma). In both cases, you need to get off at the stop "Universitat Autònoma". The length of this trip from Barcelona to the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona is about 30 minutes, and trains run every ten minutes approximately.
In order to book this hotel with the special prices we arranged, please write to h10.universitat@h10hotels.com and specify the code "UAB Gener" (Single Room 85 euros; or 95 with breakfast / Double room for 1 pers 95 euros, or 105 with breakfast; in case you come with someone else, please ask the hotel for the final price; taxes are included, except for the tourist tax of 1,21 euros per person and night). These prices are valid for reservations until 15th January.
There are many alternative accommodation options in Barcelona at all price ranges:
Accommodation in university residence halls is always a good value for money. To get to UAB, the most conveniently located residence is Residència d’Investigadors, just 5-10 min walk from the FGC station on Plaça Catalunya.
Hotel Serhs is located on the UAB campus, only 10-15 min walk from the conference venue.
