WoSSP (originally WoSS – workshop on syntax and semantics – but this year we have decided to include our beloved phonologists – hence the final P – into the conference name!) is a series of rotating graduate workshops organised by PhD students for PhD students who work on any aspect of generative linguistics.
Initially and throughout the years, the institutions behind the organisation of this conference have been:
The University of Nantes
The University of the Basque Country in Vitoria-Gasteiz (EHU)
The Universities of Catalonia (UAB, UB, UPF, URV)
The Universities of Paris 3, Paris 7, Paris 8
The Universities of Madrid (CSIC, UAM, UCM)
The University of Siena
This year, the 11th WoSSP will be held at the Center for Theoretical Linguistics of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and our invited speakers will be:
- Jordi Fortuny (UB)
- Francesc Torres-Tamarit (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam/Meertens Institute)
- Vidal Valmala (UPV-EHU)
The workshop is finantially supported by the research projects FFI2011-29440-C03-01, FFI2011-29440-C03-03, FFI2010-22181-C03-01 and the Departments of Spanish and Catalan Philology.
